the cylindrical body with a continuous scene after the 1878 painting The Entrance of Emperor Charles V into Antwerp in 1520 by Hans Makart, against a gold ground, supported by three fluted paw feet atop a stepped base, with acanthus leaf motifs against a cobalt ground, the details and bands also gilt, signed Burer along bottom, marked with underglaze blue factory mark and overglaze black title in German under base; height: 31.5 cm (12 3/8 in.)
CONDITION
The centerpiece is in excellent condition. Minor rubbing to the gilt on the base, as apparent in photographs.
