late 18th century

approximately 580 by 177cm; 19ft., 5ft. 10in.

Condition Report:
Overall in outstanding condition, particularly considering age. Glossy wool, exceptional range of clear and luminous colours. Pile overall good, 2-3 mm, with partial oxidisation to knots bars in dark browns and light apple green. A handful of small rewoven patches scattered in centre of field (additional photographs available from the department if required), and upper end guard stripe with restorations. A beautifully drawn example.
