Of rectangular form with rounded corners, push button release. The lid painted with a scene of the “slave trader” depicting two nude women, one reclining on silk the other standing being disrobed by her master, an Arabic man in a turban, all reserved with opaque blue enamel. Gilt interior. Marked to interior each side, makers mark GL, and stamped 271.
