rectangular, the lid chased with a musical trophy above chubby dolphins spewing flowery tendrils, the sides and base with engine-turned ornament, the pinned disc movement with 23 teeth, playing two tunes, illegible marks in lid and base including maker's mark [S?] & C apparently, in a horizontal lozenge, with associated key
7.6cm., 3 in. wide

Condition Report:
Footrim slightly loose in one short section at front. Exterior screws not original and worn, the one at the bottom of the base missing. Movement currently working, but Sotheby's does not guarantee the functioning of movements.
