by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1842, of shaped rectangular form, the hinged cover with a foliate scroll border, engraved with a presentation inscription dated 1844, opening to reveal a gilt interior, the sides and base engraved with scrolls. 8.5cm long, 6cm wide, 4.5 troy ounces
The hallmarks are clear on the interior of the lid and base. The hinge is in good order, and the cover closes well while holding position. The decoration is crisp. It is in generally very good condition.
