AN EBONISED AND PARCEL GILT ATHENIENNE EARLY 19TH CENTURY 114cm high, 32cm wide Condition Report: There are some marks, scratches, chips, splits, abrasions consistent with age and use, some to the extremities and edges.The ebonised paint is worn in particular to the top and some edges. Some losses to the gilt gesso including parts of the stiff leaves and paterae.There is evidence of old worm.There is some small movement to the X supports. The cast iron paw feet are weighty.All that said these comments on condition are only apparent on close up inspection.Please refer to the additional images for a visual reference of condition.
