AN EGYPTIAN LIMESTONE FIGURE OF A LION, 30TH DYNASTY, 380-342 B.C.

recumbent with his head turned to the right, the right forepaw resting on the upward-turned left forepaw, his long tail indicated in relief on the front of the base, the powerfully carved head (partially restored) with gnarled brow and stylized mane and ruff.
Length 27.3 cm.
