AN EMBROIDERED NAVY-BLUE SILK DRAGON ROUNDEL, LATE QING DYNASTY

The roundel is worked in couched gold thread with a leaping, five-clawed, front-facing dragon protecting a flaming pearl amidst flames and ruyi-shaped clouds interspersed with bats and shou characters above crashing waves, all worked in blue, ochre, purple, and red silk thread.
12 ½ in. (31.8 cm.) diam.

CONDITION REPORT:

We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after its initial manufacture.
-The roundel appears be in overall good condition for its age with some faint stains on the back.
