surah an-Naml (XXVII) v.56 to surah al-‘Ankabut (XXIX) v.45
Arabic manuscript on paper, 18 leaves, 9 lines to the page, written in naskh in black ink, verses separated by gold and polychrome rosettes, 2 surah headings in white rounded cursive within gold against a red ground within cartouches, gold and polychrome verse markes in the margins, fifth and tenth verse marked in gold in the margins, f.1a with a gold and polychrome heading (‘unwan), in brown stamped and gilt binding decorated with a central
rosette, the doublures with traces of interlacing designs

31.5 by 21.5cm.

Condition Report:
In overall good condition, the margins are clean but the edges of the paper have most probably been mice bitten, minor stains and rubbing to the ink and illumination occasional minor notes on the margins, the contemporaneous binding restored, as viewed.
