AN IMPRESSIVE CHARLES II SCULPTED GRITSTONE MORTARDATED 1670Of shaped cylindrical form, the recessed sides with initials 'WW' and 'CE' respectivelyapproximately 30cm highCondition Report: The mortar bears the usual minor marks, knocks and scuffs overall commensurate with age and use.There is a long vertical crack running from the top edge down to the basin. Another side has a shorter crack.Diagonal loss to the top edge, and further smaller chips overall (mostly old damages).The edges are a little nibbled, though the initials and numbers are still quite crisply preserved.Condition Report Disclaimer
