One face of the interior painted with a katydid resting on the leaf of a Chinese cabbage with a cluster of narcissus in the background, dated Guangxu wuxu xia siyue xiahuan (1898, summer, latter half of the fourth month), signed and painted with one seal reading Shaoxuan, the other side inscribed with four poetic verses, each executed in regular, running, clerical and archaic script.
