AN INSIDE-PAINTED 'LANDSCAPE' GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
Signed and sealed Ma Shaoxuan (1867-1939) and dated Wushen corresponding to 1908
Of rounded rectangular form, painted with a boy riding a water buffalo, conversing with a figure on the riverbank, in a mountainous landscape below a descriptive inscription and seal, the reverse with a thirty-two character inscription, with the cyclical date, artist's signature and seal, pink tourmaline stopper.
The bottle 6cm (2 3/8in) high. (2).
