An interesting and fine silver mounted kilic
dating: Early 19th Century provenance: Turkey, Flat, curved, single-edged blade (small part missing in the edge, probably for battle) in fine damask, a cartouche with Arabic inscriptions on the right side, barely readable and with small remaining of gilding; solid silver hilt with angled pommel and cross-quillon, engraved with floral motifs. Wooden scabbard covered with leather, stitched with silver thread, with silver mounts decorated en suite, two suspension rings on bands embossed with floral motifs. In patina. length 92 cm.
