An interesting and rare saddle
dating: 19th Century provenance: China, Wooden structure, composed of four pieces, joined by leather bands, the front and back part covered with ray skin, with brass borders and rosettes, richly pierced. Fine, gilded, white metal stirrups, decorated with dragon's heads and engraved with geometrical motifs (laces of a later period). Red, fabric, lined saddle cover. Bridle with leather and fabric head decoration, mounts en suite with the saddle. Parts missing and defects. length 53 cm.
