An interesting silver mounted kilic
dating: First half of the 19th Century provenance: Turkey, Wide, curved, single-and false-edged blade, in damask, with 'T'-back, two, golden cartouches on the right side, with Arabic inscriptions and floral and geometrical decorations, on the back as well. Silver, engraved cross-quillon. Horn grip scales (small damages, the band is missing). Wooden, leather-covered scabbard, stitched in silver thread, silver mounts, engraved with floral motifs. Two suspension rings. Damages and parts missing. length 77.5 cm.
