AN IRISH GEORGE II MAHOGANY CHEST ON STAND, MID-18TH CENTURY

top slightly reduced in depth, possibly associated
height 41 ½ in.; width 52 in.; depth 25 in.
105.5 cm; 132 cm; 63.5 cm

Condition Report:
Usual marks, scratches, nicks and minor discolouration consistent with age and use, with longer indentations on both sides. Some age splits, principally along the large knot on front panel and smaller knot on proper left side, panel, now with glue infill. Hinges, brass handles and escutcheon replaced. Top edge moulding with scattered losses and abrasions, mainly on front and proper left rear corner.
