Condition Report:
This impressive console has a later wooden top decorated in faux marble which presents some minor marks and losses, and rubbing and chips to the edges. The table has been re-gilt and has small losses to carving and old marks and scratches throughout, consistent with age and use. The front left corner has losses to the frieze. There are scattered holes from previous woodworm activity and there are re-touchings to the gilding which deserve professional attention. The back legs have been reinforced with batons. Some restored breaks to the mouldings of the legs. A rare and imposing piece.
