This imposing table has a modern MDF painted top simulating porphyry with minor paint losses to edges. The frieze below is of a later date than the base, which has been completely regilt. There has been repairs to the base and strengthening of construction elements. Some losses to gilding revealing gesso. Marks, minor losses and scratches consistent with age and use. Very decorative.
