AN ITALIAN GILTWOOD OPEN ARMCHAIR ROME, 19TH CENTURY Upholstered in pink velvet, the frame elaborately carved with masks, foliage and scrolls terminating in paw feet 122cm high, 72cm wide, 62cm deep Condition Report: Structurally sound and ready for use. The gilding is not original and is highly burnished with wear, discolouration, marks and minor losses, particularly to the extremities. Some minor loss of wood to the front right paw foot exposing old apparent inactive woodworm holes. Some rubbing to the gilding exposing red and yellow bole beneath. Some gilt loss to the legs and the arm terminals. The velvet worn and slightly marked. The metal close studded nails tarnished and dirty. Minor old repair to a section of the pierced foliate top rail.Condition Report Disclaimer
