The single-edged curved blade of elegantly watered steel with 'Prophet's ladder' pattern, one side with engraved cartouche comprising a partially rubbed inscription 'amal-e asadullah isfahani' (the work of Asadullah Isfahani), the curved ivory hilt with emerald and ruby-set gold upper finial, the sides and quillons covered with gold sheet, a band of gold wire above the quillons, with a red velvet covered wooden sheath, the three gold sheath mounts and chape set with emeralds and rubies in floral patterns, the blade with slight corrosion
