in the Gothic taste, of rectangular form with a domed cover, the oak carcase carved throughout with cusped arches, tracery and trefoils and applied with engraved bone plaques of Gothic arcading, the angles with stepped and moulded posts continuing to four tapering feet, the interior lined with a block printed floral paper. 25.5cm wide
The hinges are broken. There is a split across the length of the cover. Various losses. Appears to have been stripped and re-finished.
