AN OCHRE BROWN GLAZED POTTERY JAR, TANG
China, Tang dynasty (618-907). The jar is of a baluster shape with a short sprawling neck and an everted lip, with three incised parallel circumferential lines on the shoulder, and covered in a rich ochre-brown glaze with the uncovered area around the foot revealing the buff color of the vessel.
Condition: Good condition with spur marks to the base, intentional crackling, minor wear.
