AN OTTOMAN 'KILIJ' SWORD WITH WOODEN GRIPS, 19TH C.
This is Ottoman 'kilij' sword's blade is undecorated but has an interesting, rounded spine for most of its length with the last 6 3/4 in. of the spine having diamond-shaped beveling. The grip scales are of simple wooden construction. Between the grip scales is a thin sheet of brass running from front to back, with simple geometric decoration along its length.
