The fine, heirloom blade broad, with moderate curvature, wrought of Persian wootz, with distinct-edge hardening visible, with remains of an inlaid cartouche at the right forte. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard with steel mounts decorated in gold. 19th century. Pommel repaired, leather rubbed, areas of corrosion to mounts. Overall length 95.4 cm / 37 1/2".
