Comprising a rectangular writing table, with one long rectangular drawer, the table top inlaid with mother-of-pearl tesserae set in a geometric eight-pointed star motif, the border with a band of triangles, the sides with wooden mashrabiya grills and carved wooden panels engraved with split palmettes and arabesques, 79cm x 100cm x 49.5cm; and a large niche mirror, worked and inlaid in a similar style, the top band decorated with muqarnas (honeycomb) ceiling and a semi-dome, the balustrade inspired by Western models but worked in the style of Middle Eastern mashrabiyas, 125cm x 89.2cm x 28cm.
