AN OVER-LIFE SIZE PLASTER RELIEF OF A NYMPH, AFTER JEAN GOUJON (FRENCH, CIRCA 1510-1565) THE ORIGINAL CIRCA 1550, THE CAST PROBABLY LATER 19TH CENTURY Portrayed standing and draped, carrying a jugApproximately 235cm high, 65cm wide This figural panel is derived from a section of Jean Goujon's 'Fountain of the Innocents', located in Paris' first arrondissement. Casts of this monument are known to have been manufactured by a 'Monsieur Desachy'.
