AN UNCUT PANEL OF EMBROIDERIES, LATE QING DYNASTY
The panel comprises several embroidered robe elements including a collar, a sleeve extension and bands that were intended to be applied onto a robe. Each element is worked in satin stitch and Peking knot on a creamy silk ground. One corner of the back bears a Chinese inscription describing the embroideries, followed by the maker’s seal, yi de heng ji.
