Note: Archibald Dunbar McIntosh is an award-winning Scottish artist who fondly depicts the Scottish isles, the coastline and childhood memories of trips aboard the River Clyde paddle steamers. Archibald Dunbar McIntosh was born in Glasgow and studied at Glasgow School of Art from 1953 to 1957. After graduation, he taught art and became President of Glasgow School of Art in 1968. He is a member of the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts and the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours. He has won many awards across the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts, Royal Scottish Academy, Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours and the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts. His paintings are held in private and corporate collections worldwide and with public bodies including Glasgow Museums and Art Gallery, Edinburgh City Council, Argyll Education Authority and Strathclyde Regional Council. Dunbar McIntosh has exhibited regularly since graduation in the UK and USA.
