The field with overall stylised Harshang design of various polychrome hooked palmettes and animal figures. All surrounded by bold turtle-palmette border between floral and plain stripes. This design is more associated with Caucasian rugs and is seldom used in Persian weaving. Very good colour combination. Apart of one or two small repairs, well done and slight wear to the top pile, this carpet is in very good usable condition. Selvages original. Ends with short fringes secured. Great furnishing piece. Attractive.
