AN UNUSUAL MISSOURI STONEWARE FORM SIGNED CALDWELL
The hand thrown storage jar with bulbous base, waisted neck and pronounced collar beautifully shading glaze, impressed mark of C. Caldwell, presumably a member of the extensive Calloway County, Missouri family that produced pottery at various sites form around 1827 to around 1890.
Measures 6.25 x 6.5 inches.
