AN UNUSUAL NORTH ITALIAN PAINTED CENTRE TABLE, LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY

the moulded triangular top painted with a military trophy above a frieze drawer and star motifs to each canted corner and with pomegranate knop finial to stretcher
77cm. high, 80cm. wide 80cm. deep; 2ft. 6¼in., 2ft. 7½in., 2ft. 7½in.

Condition Report:
This table is of unusual form and shows signs of age, use and wear. Losses to painted decoration throughout, notably to top. The painted decoration is also discoloured. Movement along construction points. Chips and losses to carved detail. Stretcher loose to one leg and with later bobbin supports to central section below pomegrante, some of these are lacking. Old marks and scratches throughout. Traces of worm.
