ANCIENT ROMAN INTAGLIO SEALS CA 1ST TO 3RD C AD
A lot of three ancient Roman colorful intaglio seals. Circa 1st to 3rd centuries AD. The two pieces are crafted from carnelian and feature a hand carved image of the god Mercury wearing a winged helmet and holding a staff. The third intaglio depicts a male bust in the left profile with the head crowned with a laurel wreath. The reverse side of both items is smooth and flat.
