Octavo (in-8º) of x-1907 + 116 + 64 pages. Bound in red cloth, gilt-stamped on the spine and front cover. The edges of the leaves are very well gilded, still with shine and mirror finish. On the title page there is a monogrammed stamp in lilac of the monarch of Italy, V.E. On the spine there is a small label from the private library of the King of Italy (number LVI 1). Thousands of names, ranks and decorations are presented here with military precision. At the end there is an index of all surnames, very easy to consult. All Ministers of War are named at the beginning. This copy contains at the end a valuable catalogue of the bookshop BERGER-LEVRAULT with hundreds of titles of military and naval publications. It also has 64 pages at the end with a very curious list of the main suppliers of the Navy and the Army, from bankers to watches or jewellery...
An essential work for any historian. A copy with a striking spine on any shelf.

In-8º de x-1907 + 116 + 64 pages. Reliure en toile rouge, avec titres dorés au dos et sur le premier plat. Tranches très bien dorées, encore brillantes avec effet miroir. Sur la page de titre se trouve un cachet monogrammé en lilas du monarque d’Italie V.E. Au dos, il y a une petite étiquette de la bibliothèque privée du Roi d’Italie (numéro LVI 1). Des milliers de noms, de grades et de décorations y sont présentés avec une rigueur toute militaire. À la fin se trouve un index de tous les noms de famille, très facile à consulter. Tous les ministres de la Guerre sont nommés au début. Cet exemplaire contient, à la fin, un précieux catalogue de la librairie BERGER-LEVRAULT avec des centaines de titres de publications militaires et maritimes. Il comprend encore 64 pages finales avec une liste très curieuse des principaux fournisseurs de la Marine et de l’Armée, depuis les banquiers jusqu’aux montres et aux bijoux...
Une œuvre essentielle pour tout historien. Exemplaire dont le dos attire le regard sur n’importe quel rayon.
