ANTIQUE 14K YELLOW GOLD AND DIAMOND LADY'S SOLITAIRE RING, having a tall eight-prong setting holding an Old Mine brilliant-cut diamond that measures approximately 4.0 x 4.2 x 2.1 mm with an estimated weight of 0.25 ct., clarity SI with some edge chips, color I-J-K, on a wide tapered band. Interior impressed "14" in a shaped cartouche possibly for J.B. Bowden & Co. of New York City, NY, though appraisal states "no quality mark found; tested 18K". Total weight including diamond: 4.4 grams. Late 19th/first quarter 20th century. Ring size 6 1/2.
