An antique Chinese late Qing Dynasty figural amulet pendant hand carved of brownish green Jade, most likely Hotan or Hetian. The pendant is made in the shape of a snail, engraved with detailed patterns and decorated with a pierced through element for wearing in the center. The Hotan region is the main source of the nephrite jade used in ancient China. Circa the late 19th century to early 20th century. Unmarked.
