Antique early 19th century black lacquer tilt top tray table in the manner of Jennens & Bettridge. Estimated ca. 1820. Measures 21" tall x 24" x 17.75" wide. 27.5" tall with the table top flipped down. Inscribed on base "Probably painted by the famous artist De McCallum (?) of (?) Jennens & Bettridge Painted ca. 1820-30". Beautiful original painted top finish. Includes original 1986 bill of sale from London Antiques, NYC, for $980. Condition: good with normal signs of age and use, see images. Weight: approx. 15 lbs.
