ANTIQUE JAPANESE MEIJI ERA CLOISONNE ENAMEL PLATE

An antique Japanese late Meiji era decorative enamel over copper plate. The interior of the plate is adorned with a polychrome image of sparrows on the yellow ground made in the Cloisonne technique. The border features floral and foliage patterns made in the same technique. The backside is decorated with a foliate scroll ornament on a turquoise ground made in the Cloisonne technique. Unmarked.
