ANTIQUE LOUIS XV STYLE ORMOLU MOUNTED SIDE TABLE

An antique French Louis XV Rococo style ormolu mounter parquetry side table. The table sits on four slender, cabriole-shaped legs which terminate in ormolu clawed feet, ornamented with stylized leaves. The four sides of the table feature panels of fine parquetry in a diamond pattern, and contain one drawer to the front. Completed with a key and enclosed printed maps and reproductions. Circa: late 19th century. Provenance: The present lot on auction form part of the Kuranda's family estate. The provenance of items can be tracked back to Felix Kuranda in XIX Century Austrian Empire, member of a well known family of bankers and politicians; directly related to the Karpeles, Wittelshofer, Milne And Lederer families. The most chronological recent lots are former belongings from USA veteran Major Thom Stellinger-Scott related through marriage with the Kuranda lineage. He was a veteran of Korean War as well as a reputed amateur photographer and artist. The Stellinger-Scott family resided for decades at Montauk Long Island NY.
