ANTIQUE SPANISH CUP HILT RAPIER SWORD 36"

Antique Spanish-style cup-hilt rapier featuring a long, straight, tapering steel blade and an elaborate silver-colored metal hilt. The substantial domed cup guard displays a dimpled surface and a raised rim with diagonal detailing. Long, straight crossguard arms terminate in decorative baluster-shaped finials, complemented by a curved knuckle guard, a ribbed metal grip, and a rounded, tiered pommel with a small terminal finial. The blade retains faint decorative markings or engraving, now heavily worn and partially obscured by oxidation. No legible maker's marks or identifying inscriptions have been found. Visible condition includes scattered rust, pitting, surface scratches, discoloration, and wear throughout, with a rounded blade tip and surface irregularities to the cup guard. No scabbard is shown.
