ANTIQUE / VINTAGE 14K YELLOW GOLD AND CARVED CORAL CAMEO BROOCHES / PENDANTS, LOT OF TWO, each piece featuring a pink coral center with high-relief cameo carving of a woman looking to the side, having a pin fastener and a hinged pendant bail to back, comprising a larger ovoid example with seed pearls around the frame and later scratched "MRS / H[?]N" to back of coral, and a small example in an octagonal frame with engraved decoration and a non-gold pin. Ovoid brooch marked "14K", smaller example with "MB" maker's mark possibly for Moskowitz Bros. of New York City, NY and tested as 14K gold fineness. Total weight including non-gold components: 23.8 grams. First half 20th century. Ovoid brooch 1 1/2" x 1 1/8" OA frame.
Condition Report: Coral in excellent overall condition with minor wear, possibly one or a few minute flakes; ovoid brooch in very good overall condition with frame having minor wear, spots of very slight bending, pendant bail detached at one end; smaller brooch in good to very good overall condition with slight bending to frame, pin clasp does not lock securely, pendant bail is loose but secure at hinge. Coral and pearls not professionally graded.
