ANTIQUE / VINTAGE ART DECO PLATINUM, 14K WHITE GOLD, DIAMOND, AND RUBY LADY'S RING, ellipse-form platinum openwork top with milgrain design, featuring 45 single-cut diamonds measuring approximately 1 mm to 1.5 mm in diameter, eight rose-cut diamonds measuring approximately 1 mm in diameter, and two Old European or transitional-cut diamonds measuring approximately 2 mm in diameter, center featuring a tall round ruby cabochon measuring approximately 6.5 mm in diameter, mounted to a likely later 14K white gold split-shank band. Unmarked, top tested as platinum, band tested as 14K gold fineness. Total weight including stones: 4.8 grams. Top circa 1925, band 20th century. Ring size 5.
Condition Report: Lacking one single-cut diamond along one side edge, ruby cabochon slightly loose in setting but secure, otherwise in very good overall condition with minor wear, surface scratches, and nicks, top probably from another piece of jewelry and converted to a ring. Stones not professionally graded.
