God himself was against answering letters because he made man’s life so short... You wrote to me three times in London, I really didn’t have time to read these letters to answer - if I had met you where, you could have convinced yourself that I, on my part, I am always happy to know a person like you and to be in a collegial relationship with – and without paying attention to whether you have listed something of mine or not ...”.
