APPROX. 25 FANS AND FAN-RELATED ITEMS

1) Victorian pressed paper brise fan "My Heart's Gift", with raised decoration of forget-me-nots surrounding six romantic vignettes. Length 7".

2) Spanish wood and fabric fontage-style folding fan with vibrantly painted flowers on green pierced wood leaves. Fabric leaf also painted with coordinating flowers. Length 9".

3-8) Six doll and child fans.

9) Metal and paper cockade fan in a paper case marked "Foldaway Fan - Keep Cool, and Be Gay". 10-11) Two cardboard fixed fans, possibly for the game Bridge, printed with score and lines to record.

12) Avon "Fans of the World" scarf.

13-15) Three identical wood and paper folding fans in turquoise-colored boxes marked "Temple Treasures by F.N. Kistner Co of Chicago".

16-18) Three newspaper and magazine articles relating to fan collecting.

19-20) Two "Antique Replica Folding Fans". One never opened with envelope marked "Merrimack Publ. Corp. N.Y... Printed in Hong Kong".

21) Brass decoration of an open folding fan.

22-25) Four wood and paper folding fans marked "Made in Cuba", one with very pretty painted blue floral decoration, one with painted roses on a tan ground, and two children's fans, possibly from Cuba.

Condition: Victorian paper fan slightly detached at front ; light wear to guards of Spanish fontage fan; damage to Cuban fans; otherewise fairly good conditions.
