ARTIST PROFILE: Arlette Jassel is a lifelong artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from New York City's Hunter college where she studied with Helen Frankenthaler (American, 1928 - 2011). She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Chicago. The artist makes narrative art of politics, science and the psychology of personal relations. She works on canvas, paper, and wood. Two of Jassel's drawings are in the Smithsonian Museum, National Archives. Jassel was a member of the Washington Women's Arts Center that was featured in 2018 in an exhibit at the Katzen Museum, Alper Initiative. Jassel was admitted to the Cosmos Club as a significant artist in 2022. - 52 x 58 in
