An antique late 19th to early 20th-century Austrian porcelain trinket box or lidded candy dish by Ernst Wahliss. Round shape. Relief surface imitating raw stone with glazed hand-painted violet flowers. Signed by the artist on the lid, H. Cary. Crowned hallmark EW Turn Vienna, Geschutzt, handwritten marks 5167 IV, 2957, 20 are on the bottom. Ernst Wahliss was a leading Austrian porcelain and ceramics retailer active from 1863 until 1929.
