An outstanding antique Early 20th Century German or Austrian Art Nouveau Marble Bronze Bust Of Young Lady Woman Sculpture By Schumacher, Circa 1910, marked Schumacher on the bronze and also (indistinguishably) signed on her lower back, with splendid soft lines and supple attention to detail the marble seamlessly melds with her bronze garment (note the detailed bird sash in front) and is tastefully mounted on a well shaped hexagonal verdi marble base. She has a weighty feel in the hands, and this sculpture could gracefully sit on a shelf, a showcase or even on a desk (she is sitting on mine right now) and would make an impressive gift or addition to any fine household or collection.
