The sculpture is part of Martini's research linked to the creation of a series of ceramics to be sent to the Galleria Pesaro in Milan, and born from a desire for looser modeling compared to the construction canons of traditional plastic. Vado's closeness to Albisola, and his friendship with Mario Labò, stimulates Martini to return to the experience of this production.
