ASCONIO PEDANIO, Quinto (forse 9 A.C. - 76 D.C.) - Expositio. Venice: eredi di Aldo Manuzio, 1553. Later Aldine edition of these commentaries on Cicero's Orationess first published by Aldus in 1522. 8vo (148 x 100mm). Aldine device on title (final leaves slightly shorter at bottom part of external edges but with the same speckled edges, title and first leaves with light soiling). Modern antique-style vellum with manuscript title, blue speckled esges, preserved in an elegant modern case. Provenance: early ownership inscription on title - Stelio Valentini (bookplate).
