First edition of one of the most Fundamental of All Works of Responsa. Following the Responsa of the Rashb’a (Rome 1469; Const. 1516), these Teshuvos by the Ro’sh was the second work of responsa to be first published. The responsa of R. Asher ben Yechiel (1250-1327) are divided into one hundred and eight groups called Kelalim, with reponsa in each dealing with one subject. The responsa reflect the social and spiritual condition of Jewish life in Central and Southern Spain. Hailing from Germany, the author had been the primary disciple of R. Meir of Rothenburg.
