ATTERBURY SWAN KEROSENE STAND LAMP, colorless unpatterned font with upper and lower bands, starch blue figural swan stem and hexagonal stepped foot, underside of foot embossed "PATD, SEP 29D 1868. / Nov 16D.1869", font with upper and lower bands, Atterbury screw socket connector with impressed patent date, brass No. 1 collar with shoulder plate. Fitted with a period No. 1 Hall's Safety slip burner. Atterbury & Co. Circa 1870. 8 3/4" H to top of collar, 5" DOA foot.
Excellent condition, font undamaged, swan neck with a crack probably occurring during annealing, foot steps and underside with several flakes and roughness. Burner deflector with a light dent.
